Orator Kit: How it Works


The installation process for the Orator Dictation Starter Kit is outlined below.  The steps include loading drivers, installing the voice board and installing the Orator dictation software.  The link below will show an online video demonstrating the necessary steps.

Stage I:  Building the Orator Dictation System  

I.                Verify Computer Specifications
II.               Install Dialogic Voice Board Drivers
III.              Install Voice Board
IV.              Install Bytescribe Orator Dictation Software
V.                Configure System     

Stage II:  Exporting Files from the Orator Dictation Computer  

I.                Determine the Network Topology 
II.               Install the Bytescribe Export Utility
III.              Configure the Bytescribe Export Utility    

Stage III:  Managing Files over the Internet  

I.                Install DocShuttle Administrator Software (sold separately)
II.               Configure DocShuttle Administrator Software
III.              Upload Voice Files to FTP site   

Below is a diagram showing the recommend network topology with configuring a Orator dictation system to export file to the Internet.  Once the Orator system is built, the system is networked to a computer that will export the voice files to the Internet.  DocShuttle Transcription Software will manage the workflow of voice files and text document over the Internet.
