Supported File Formats: 

  • Windows audio format (include files with .wav extensions).  WavPlayer plays all standard wav files for which a CODEC is installed: 
  •         Microsoft IMA ADPCM
  •         Microsoft ADPCM
  •         CCITT G.711
  •         GSM 6.10
  •         DSP Group TrueSpeech
  •         Msg723.acm
  •         Windows Media
  •         Sipro Lab Telecom
  •         Indeo
  •         Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3
  •         Microsoft PCM
  •  Olympus DSS and DS2 formats (include files with .dss and .ds2 extensions).  These are files created by Olympus handheld recorders.  
  •  Dialogic/OKI (ADPCM/PCM) format (include files with .vox extensions).  These are files created by Dictaphone, Crescendo, Bytescribe , and other Intel/Dialogic based dictation systems. 
  •  TrueSpeech format (files with .wav extensions).  These are files created by UHER handheld recorders and Bytescribe dictation systems.  
  •  BCB PlayAll Xtra format files. 
  •  Music CD playback format (include files with .cda extensions). 
  •  Windows Media File formats (include files with .asf, .asx, .wpl, .wm, .wmx, .wmd and .wmz extensions). 
  •  Windows Media Audio formats (include files with .wma and .wax extensions). 
  •  Windows Media Video formats (include files with .wmv and .wvx extensions). 
  •  Windows video format (include files with .avi extensions). 
  •  Movie formats (include files with .mpeg, .mpg, .mpe, .m1v, .mp2, .mpv2, .mpa extensions). 
  •  MP3 audio formats (include files with .mp3 and .m3u extensions). 
  •  MIDI formats (include files with .mid, .midi and .rmi extensions). 
  •  AIFF audio format (include files with .aif, .aifc, and .aiff extensions). 
  •  AU audio format (include files with .au and .snd extensions).
